Podcasting Help

What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is the technology that allows us to broadcast audio content via the web. The individual podcast is a message, radio show, or musical entertainment you download onto your computer. Apple iPods, MP3s or PDAs are not required in order to use the feed. But you must use a digital application that can retrieve and play the content of the broadcast. Each podcast can be accessed manually on a one-time basis, or users can sign up for a free subscription. If you subscribe to our podcasting service, you will automatically receive the newest edition of every broadcast and you can listen to it at your convenience.

How do I subscribe to the Crossroads Community Church podcast?
It's really easy! Just download a podcast receiver, software that can automatically check our site for new content whenever the latest broadcast becomes available. The most commonly used receivers include Apple Computer's iTunes and Juice. But you are free to use the software of your choice. When the download and installation of the software is complete, simply cut and paste the following URL into your podcast application:

Do I need to download software to my computer to subscribe to Crossroads Community Church podcasts?
Without podcast receiving software such as iTunes and Juice, you won't know when new podcasts are available. The receiver you download will periodically search a linked site for new audio files. Even if you decide not to download a receiver, you are still welcome to visit our podcast page anytime you wish and manually check for new content.

Do I have to use a PDA or portable digital audio player to listen to Crossroads Community Church podcasts?
You can listen to our podcasts directly on your computer. Additional digital platforms or accessories are not necessary.
