Born in Newberg, OR Ben grew up locally in the Northwest area. He moved to Vancouver, WA in first grade and his family started attending Crossroads Community Church while he was in the sixth grade. Ben attended McLoughlin Middle School and later Fort Vancouver High School, participating in various sports, leadership, academic, and extracurricular programs.

Following his completion of high school, Ben pursued a bachelor's degree in Bible/Theology and Speech/Communications from Multnomah Bible College in Portland, OR. During this time Ben served for four years at Crossroads as a youth ministry intern.

Upon graduation, Ben married his beautiful wife Rachelle, who also grew up at Crossroads. Ben and Rachelle based their marriage on eight years of close friendship and a romance sparked by serving along side each other as youth leaders here at the church.

Following their wedding, they moved to San Diego, CA where Ben served as a youth pastor/associate pastor for Calvary Chapel La Mesa. While in California, Ben also completed his Master’s of Divinity degree from Azusa Pacific University’s Haggard Graduate School of Theology.

In January 2003 Ben and Rachelle returned home to Vancouver in order for Ben to pastor the Middle School Ministry. Ben’s vision in ministry is to help sixth, seventh, and eighth graders develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by grounding them in the Word, growing them in Worship, and giving them opportunities to Witness.

Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, hunting, playing sports, and drinking cold refreshingly delicious Coca Cola Classics.

Our Leadership Team

The leadership team is filled with Christian adults that volunteer their time to help disciple the middle school students. Our goal is to provide an adult that can show kids what a chistian life is like and encourage them. This is a picture of the leadership team at our annual leaders retreat.
