Do I have to attend a particular ministry to be a part of the LifeChange program?
No, but it's always best when you can attend a specific ministry where you share common interests with others and you can encourage each other. However, everyone's schedules don’t always line up. LifeChange provides the opportunity for growth and challenge for those whose schedules don’t fit with the regular ministry times, as well as those whose do.
If I'm part of a ministry's weekly small group, can I still be involved in another type of LifeChange group?
Yes. LifeChange provides many opportunities to be challenged in your faith throughout the week, and we hope that you'll take advantage of as many of these opportunities as you wish.
What if I don't know what type of LifeChange small group to sign up for?
Don't worry -- just call the LifeChange coordinator at the Church Office for direction and suggestions.
Is there childcare available?
As a general rule, we do not offer childcare for small groups. However, if this is an obstacle to your being able to join a group, call the LifeChange coordinator at the Church Office for suggestions on possible solutions.
Are there groups located in my immediate living area?
Groups meet throughout the Vancouver/Portland area. Most of the time we can find one near you, but we ask that you be flexible as we try our best to fit you into a group that meets your needs.
What if I don't know a lot about the Bible or God?
We recommend Discipleship Ministry groups for those who are new to the Lord to gain essential knowledge of Christianity and the Bible. However, regardless of what group you’re in, there will be a range of spiritual backgrounds and you will experience the blessing of learning from each another.
