Just as Joseph did during biblical times, the Crossroads Community Church Food Pantry Ministry provides emergency and temporary assistance to families having difficulty acquiring food and basic necessities. This is a tangible expression of God's love to our brothers and sisters and to the community around us. Our pantry provides a week's worth of food to families who are out of work, affected negatively by the country's economic downturn, or are just having a tough time making ends meet each month.

says, "Have them gather all the food produced in the good years that are just ahead and bring it to Pharaoh’s storehouses. Store it away, and guard it so there will be food in the cities. That way there will be enough to eat when the seven years of famine come to the land of Egypt. Otherwise this famine will destroy the land."

"As predicted, for seven years the land produced bumper crops. During those years, Joseph gathered all the crops grown in Egypt and stored the grain from the surrounding fields in the cities."

"At last the seven years of bumper crops throughout the land of Egypt came to an end. Then the seven years of famine began, just as Joseph had predicted. The famine also struck all the surrounding countries, but throughout Egypt there was plenty of food. Eventually, however, the famine spread throughout the land of Egypt as well. And when the people cried out to Pharaoh for food, he told them, 'Go to Joseph, and do whatever he tells you.' So with severe famine everywhere, Joseph opened up the storehouses and distributed grain to the Egyptians, for the famine was severe throughout the land of Egypt. And people from all around came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph because the famine was severe throughout the world." (, 47-48, 53-57 NAS)

• Hours - The food pantry is open Sundays from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm and Wednesdays from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. (We are closed on major holidays: Christmas, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving) **Please note: starting in March 2012, our Sunday hours will change to only the 2nd and 4th Sundays.  Wednesdays will remain the same.
• Amount - The food pantry provides a week's worth of food, based on the family size, once a month (twice a month if a regular attendee of Crossroads).
