Ministry simply means service. For us as Christians, we live lives of service for the glory of God. To that end, we have started our own School of Ministry here at Crossroads on Tuesday nights. These six to eight week courses are meant to equip you to better serve the world at its place of pain in the name of Jesus. Our second semester will include Apologetics, Evangelism, Inductive Bible Study and three new classes called Biblical Leadership, How God Made You Unique; You Are Shaped For Significance, and The Bible from 6,000 Feet.All classes are held at our Cornerstone Middle School Campus:

Current Course Descriptions:
Evangelism (6 weeks)
Every believer wants to do a better job of articulating their faith to their loved ones, coworkers, friends and neighbors. Most people feel that they do not share their faith effectively. This class on Evangelism, taught by Pastor Daniel Fusco, will work through the Foundation, the Function and the Form of Evangelism. We will be focusing on the theological, practical and relational aspects of sharing our faith. This class is going to be very helpful and a lot of fun.

Answering the Big Questions (Apologetics) (7-8 weeks)
This class will help you to answer those who ask you to provide “a reason for the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15). We are surrounded by a skeptical society that is bombarded by the message of evolutionary “science” resulting in moral relativism. How do we engage them? What questions do we ask them? How are we to understand their questions? This class will not only tackle the basic questions people ask us and why they ask them, but it will also equip the student with a comprehensive biblical worldview and a look at the latest scientific research that backs it up.

Inductive Bible Study (IBS) (6 weeks)
You may have found yourself asking, "What does the Bible really mean, and what difference does it make in my life?" Or, "Why doesn't God speak to me through the Bible when I read it?" When we read and study the Bible, we can read someone else's study or we can learn to study the Bible for ourselves. The Inductive Bible Study method help us understand the Bible in a way we never have...we learn how to discover God's truth for ourselves, through His word. By learning the methods of observation, interpretation, and application, we will discover what the authors of the Bible intended to say, what they meant for us to understand when we , and how God wants us to apply it to our life today. Come and get the tools you need to confidently study the Scriptures, and know that God is speaking to you through His word.

The Bible From 6,000 Feet (6 sessions over 7 weeks)
Would you like to have a grasp of the events, places, and characters of the Bible? This can be a reality for you. All it takes is 15 minutes a day for 30 days. Enroll in "Around the Word in 30 Days" for a six weeks course that will provide you with the keys to understanding the Bible for a lifetime of enjoyment in the Word.

Biblical Leadership: Transforming People and Organizations (6-8 weeks)
Do you desire to be a leader? What is an effective leader? Is leadership the art of accomplishing more than the science of management says is possible? Are the principles of leadership different in our culture verses what the Bible communicates? What did Jesus teach His disciples who wanted positions of authority in His organization? Whether it's in business, at home or in the local church, God is seeking Christian leaders to do His work. Bill Gibbons, former CEO and founder of HOSTS Learning Corporation and current Superintendent of Cornerstone Christian School and Dr. Larry Ayers, former President of Western Seminary (retired), Adjunct Professor of Leadership and Management at Multnomah Biblical Seminary will focus on the principles of Biblical leadership and the impact of service in God's economy. Key guest speakers will share how God's principles of servant leadership shaped their lives and the lives of so many others.

How God Made You Unique; You Are Shaped For Significance (6 weeks)
You were shaped for a purpose! God created everything in the world for a purpose, the Bible says, including you. You're not here by accident. You're not just taking up space. God made you for a reason. God designed you and it was His idea. We're going to begin a new class called "You Are Shaped For Significance” In the class we're going to not only talk about how God has shaped you for ministry but how your shape affects every other area of your life -- your relationships, your career, your finances, your retirement, your enjoyment, your hobbies, your recreation -- how God uses your shape in every other area of life.
The Bible says you're a combination of five different factors. Spiritual Gifts, Abilities, Heart, Personality, and Experiences. In the succeeding weeks we'll go into detail of each of these five components.
